However, this film holds even more significance for the actress because it marks her son Damian Hurley’s debut as a writer and director. Amidst these wholesome moments, one particular scene has made rounds of the headlines and that is a s-x scene involving Hurley.
What’s unique about it is that the scene was written and directed by her son, causing many to raise an eyebrow. However, in an interview with People, the actress made it absolutely clear that as a professional, nothing like this will bother her from doing her job. She revealed,
“People are making a lot of fuss, I think there’s a lot of factors making it a particularly interesting scene for people,”
She revealed that what makes it more eye-catching isn’t just the involvement of her son, but also the fact that it’s something she has never done before, coupled with the age difference between her and her scene partner. As she stated,
“The fact that I’m doing it, and I’ve never really done a scene like that before.”
She further emphasized,
“[some movie scenes are] quite out there and daring, there actually isn’t any nudity. Nobody’s exploited at all. We all felt comfortable doing it.”
Although they are a mother-son duo, they both take their jobs very seriously. Thus, it was nothing near awkward for the two of them to work on that particular scene, rather, it was like any other scene from the movie. At the end of the day, they are just doing their job, and letting their personal relationship affect them on set would be nothing short of unprofessional, according to the duo.

With the buzz surrounding the film and its recent headlines, people are eager to learn more about the intriguing storyline. And to say the least, it’s quite captivating. Shot in just 18 days the film is set on the beautiful Caribbean island of Nevis and also flaunts stunning fashion with breathtaking beach scenes and a whole lot of make-out scenes.
Elizabeth Hurley plays Lily, a well-off woman who tragically loses her daughter. However, trouble in paradise ensues when Lily is reunited with her daughter’s friend group a year later, leading to the unraveling of many secrets that the people involved most certainly do not want to get out.
Judging by her statements, the Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery star had a blast shooting it. As for her son, although it was fun for him too, it was quite stressful as well. In the same conversation with People, he revealed.
“We did become shells of human beings and lose our minds during it,–Every movie’s a war. The making of every single movie is a battle of all battles. So funnily enough, I actually can’t remember much of it.”
While the movie has received mixed reviews thus far, many have admitted it to be an enjoyable watch.
