Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster of emotions. Gege Akutami’s magnum opus has been the talking point of every anime lover, and it is considered to be one of the best anime of 2023. Season 2 commenced with Satoru Gojo’s backstory, and then it shifted to the Shibuya Incident arc. The arc has made the fandom pretty grief-stricken after continuous deaths.

But among those deaths, the fans have found joy in the amazing fights that are continuously taking place. Out of all the fights of season 2, there is a particular fight that has caught the eyes of the fans. Choso vs Yuji Itadori was a great fight, but it is nowhere near the fight between Aoi Todo and Mahito. Aoi Todo’s fantasy seems to have been a great success among the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom.

Aoi Todo has always been a great showstopper in Jujutsu Kaisen. His aura and charisma may be unbearable to his friends, but the audience is definitely a fan. His latest showboating came against Mahito. Yuji Itadori had lost all hope after Mahito killed Nanami Kento and Kugisaki Nobara in front of him. But Aoi Todo came to his rescue and inspired him to get up and fight.

The two were too much for Mahito to handle, but somehow, he managed to cut off Aoi Todo’s left wrist. Todo’s Cursed Technique Boogie Woogie required him to clap his hands, but without his left hand, he would no longer be able to use his Cursed Technique. Like Yuji, Todo was on the verge of defeat, but just before Mahito was going to attack him, he clapped his hands.

Mahito was left a little conscious, thinking that Todo’s Cursed Technique would still work, he it did not, and Todo used that moment to counter Mahito. After that point, Todo’s movements all landed on Mahito, and the Cursed Spirit could do nothing. Later, it was revealed that Todo was using his fantasy to fight.

More on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 has been a great entertainer of 2023. It hit every emotion of the fandom. As the season progressed, it became darker. The character that suffered the most is Yuji Itadori. His sensei, Satoru Gojo, got sealed, Sukuna went on a rampage after taking over his body, Nanami and Nobara died in front of him, and Todo lost his Cursed Technique to help him.

With still a couple more episodes left, Jujutsu Kaisen 2 will have lived up to its hype. Gege Akutami has confirmed that they plan on wrapping up the manga by 2024. So, after season 2 ends, there might not be many seasons left. But if they deliver more fights like Aoi Todo’s fantasy fight sequence, the fans will be more than happy with whatever little they get.

There have been other fantasies in Jujutsu Kaisen that were not very popular among the fans. One of the fantasies included Choso and his brother, including Yuji Itadori. They were enjoying their food with flowers falling from the trees. Nanami also fantasized about settling down on Kuantan Beach in Malaysia before dying. It was an emotional moment for the fans. Choso’s fantasy was about happiness, and Nanami’s was sad, but the fans seemed to like Aoi Todo’s fantasy violence more than the other ones.
