Doctor Who is one of the most popular sci-fi television shows ever. It centers around The Doctor who travels through time and space. He’s a friend to the helpless, a beacon of hope in the face of the unknown. But beneath the eccentric exterior and witty banter lies a truth rarely acknowledged.
The Doctor, the beloved protagonist of “Doctor Who”, might just be one of the most prolific killers on television. He is not an average serial killer lurking in the shadows, but a Time Lord, a being with godlike powers and a near-unending lifespan. There have been many incarnations of The Doctor and almost every incarnation has been a reason for many deaths. But the victim count for one particular incarnation is extremely disturbing, to say the least!
Matt Smith’s Doctor Eleven in Doctor Who Has The Highest Kill Count Among All
If someone is asked to name one Doctor from Doctor Who, major chances are that he will end up saying David Tennant, because of the way he globalised the character. Jodie Whittaker is also a great contender for being the only female Doctor in a total of fifteen incarnations.
However, neither of these two is anywhere close to the abomination caused by the Eleventh doctor, who was played by Matt Smith. A total of 1,000,001,000,003,214,064,242 victims died during three series of Eleventh Doctor, a number that will put even supercomputers to shame. In other words, this converts to more than One Sextillion!
However, there is one catch to this huge number. This astonishing count includes the destruction of the Tiberian spiral galaxy, which was mentioned in the series. The death count during the destruction was one billion trillion, which accounts for almost all of the victims on the Eleventh Doctor’s watch.
Who is the Current Doctor in Doctor Who?
Ncuti Gatwa is the current and fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who. Gatwa’s official debut as the Doctor happened in the 60th anniversary special “The Giggle.” In a twist, the Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant) doesn’t regenerate traditionally but instead splits into two Doctors: Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor and Tennant’s duplicate. They work together, and then each takes a separate TARDIS to explore the universe on their own adventures.
Series 15 of Doctor Who will start streaming from Christmas of 2024 on BBC and will feature Gatwa as the Doctor. Until then, an eight-episode special will air featuring Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson, who is experiencing bad luck due to antics of goblin.
