The last chapter that the series released was 103 and it was created by Toriyama’s student Toyotaro, who has been working on Dragon Ball Super since the beginning. After the release of the chapter, the series went on an indefinite hiatus and no information has been released about what the future holds for Dragon Ball.

While many Dragon Ball fans believe that Dragon Ball Daima might be the last work that the franchise releases, there are still a lot of questions that the Dragon Ball Super manga needs to answer. These mysteries might lead to the development of another series, that can once again ignite a multiversal war.

The Mysteries That Are Left Unattended in Dragon Ball Super

Following the Tournament of Power arc in the anime, three major narrative arcs have been introduced in the Dragon Ball Super manga. With every arc, the plot advanced even further and new characters, abilities, and mysteries were revealed to Dragon Ball fans who have been eagerly waiting to find out more about them.

The power level of Black Frieza, the multiple universes introduced during the Tournament of Power arc, the adventures of Goten and Trunks, the God of Saiyans: Yamoshi, and many other mysteries have been left unresolved in Dragon Ball Super, leaving them unfinished could negatively impact Toriyama’s legacy.

Therefore, there is a chance that the series might continue further and work on these unresolved elements of the Dragon Ball Super series. Toyotaro who has been working on the series since the start could handle the development of the story and make it work to honor the legacy of Akira Toriyama.

A New Dragon Ball Super Series Can Answer All The Questions

Following Toriyama’s passing, no formal announcement on the manga’s conclusion for Dragon Ball Super has yet been made. There are plenty of interesting directions that Toriyama’s successor, Toyotaro, may take the Dragon Ball Super tale if he decides to work on it and develop it further.

The most important one among them is the Multiversal War, which marked the beginning of the popularity of Dragon Ball Super. Recent chapters and the past questions in the series have led fans to theorize about another war between the multiple universes introduced in the story. If the theories hold any credence, there is a chance that a new series might be in the works that will focus on this war and the other mysterious elements of the super.

Chapter 103 ended on a sweet note when Goku met Pan after so many years. Directly continuing after such a sweet ending would not only hurt Dragon Ball’s legacy but also might mix up the work of Toyotaro and Toriyama. This is why, the best step would be to introduce a new series that answers all the questions without damaging Toriyama’s legacy.
