Aquaman star took up the lead role in the film London Fields in 2018. The film was based on the top-selling novel by author Martin Amis and intended to be a neo-noir. Heard played the role of a woman with intoxicating beauty named Nicola Six. The movie revolves around a woman known to have psychic abilities, and she gets an intuition about her murder. Hence, she has an affair with three men, feeling one of them would attempt to kill her.

While the plot seems quite intriguing, the movie failed to follow through in the execution. The film received the most unbelievable 0% Rotten Tomatoes score. And the critics went on and on to list the film’s endless faults.

LA Times’ Gary Goldstein said,

“The aggressively awful London Fields is, once again, proof that not every successful novel should become a movie.”

The movie was made with an estimated budget of $8 million and grossed a mere $487,420. The actress was nominated for the 2019 Razzie for worst actress of the year.

Johnny Depp did a cameo in Amber Heard’s worst film

London Fields was a film based on a dark mystery novel of the same name. It was directed by Mathew Cullen and followed the interesting life of a beautiful woman Nicola Six, who dated three men- a married gangster, a wealthy businessman, and a struggling writer. The protagonist is a clairvoyant who finds out that one of them was going to kill her in the future.

The cast of the film included Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess, Theo James, Jason Isaacs, Cara Delevingne, Obi Abili, and Jaimie Alexander.

Megastar and Amber Heard’s ex-husband, Johnny Depp had a small uncredited role in the film. He played a character named Chick Purchase, who had numerous scars on his face. He was seen wearing flashy clothes and a long coat with bowler hats.

Purchase was a champion dart player and a loan shark. He was the rival of one of the lovers of Nicola Six in the dart competition and had also loaned him. Depp is depicted as a dangerous villain and is seen in the film for a few scenes.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had earlier worked together in one other movie, The Rum Diary, from where their romance had bloomed.
