The recent news of Paul Anderson’s involvement with crack cocaine has both surprised and perplexed fans and industry insiders alike. Known for his dark portrayal of Arthur Shelby in Peaky Blinders, he pleaded guilty when found to be in possession of crack cocaine. His recent legal troubles might make him look scary, but his The Revenant co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, is much more scared to fight Anderson’s Peaky Blinders co-star, Tom Hardy.
After starring together in Christopher Nolan’s 2010 film Inception, DiCaprio and Hardy reunited on screen in the action drama The Revenant (2015), which grossed $533 million worldwide. This film, which also stars Anderson, is special for the Titanic star since it got him his first and only (so far) Oscar Award. However, DiCaprio, whose character (Hugh Glass) was attacked by a grizzly bear, believed that fighting with Hardy was like a “bear in his own right”.

Leonardo DiCaprio Discussed The Revenant and Fighting a ‘Bear’
There are not many films by Tom Hardy that are as tough as The Revenant. He faced Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the greatest actors of all time, in the Oscar-winning historical drama. Not only Hardy, but his Peaky Blinders co-star Paul Anderson joined him on his icy journey. As a result, we anticipate that the film would have featured an equal number of iconic, challenging shots.
The Killers of the Flower Moon star discussed the “many monumental undertakings” that went into making the film. He could discuss these scenes for hours on end, bringing up a specific fight scene he had with his co-star. DiCaprio told Variety in 2016:
“There were so many monumental undertakings in this film; we could talk at great length at the bear sequence, the horse sequence, the bison sequence, the rapids sequence, fighting with Tom Hardy, who is like a bear in his own right. But most of the stuff was so meticulously planned out.”
The actor, who portrayed Hugh Glass in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s film, revealed that every department had to function like a “Swiss watch” during their “all day long” rehearsals. It felt like writing a short play daily and performing in front of an audience for an hour and a half under the open sky. However, there were instances when it was
“Just ‘Glass walks up a hill’— and the bear fur weighs 120 pounds wet, and I’m freezing my ass off, and it became some of the most difficult stuff to do in the movie.”
The Revenant is best known for its portrayal of the bear attack that almost killed Hugh Glass, but it is also notable for DiCaprio and Hardy’s characters’ ongoing rivalry and thirst for retribution.
Paul Anderson is Fined For Drug Possession
Paul Anderson, who gained popularity for his portrayal of Arthur Shelby in the critically acclaimed BBC web series Peaky Blinders, is currently facing legal issues. After being discovered in possession of crack cocaine, the actor entered a guilty plea, according to The Independent.
It was found that he had brought some illegal substances into a Hampstead pub on Boxing Day. According to sources, he was supposed to appear in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, which stars Cillian Murphy in the lead role. But since he entered a guilty plea, his role in this forthcoming flick seems unclear.

According to the Daily Mail, Anderson admitted to owning “class A crack cocaine, class B amphetamines, and two class C prescription substances” when he appeared in court on Thursday, January 25. He was ordered to pay a fine of £1,345 ($1708.46).
In response to questions about his involvement in the drug case, Anderson remained silent. The actor later “tested positive for cocaine and opiates, not crack cocaine”, the court was informed, though. The actor’s lawyer stated:
“He has found himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no.”
Anderson was expected to have a significant role in the upcoming Peaky Blinders film, which is scheduled to begin production this summer. He also donned the role in the BBC’s 36-episode series of the same name, which aired its final episode in 2022.
