Tyler Mane was also among the many actors who made their way into the MCU. His fight with Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine was a part of the marketing and ended up being a great upset in theatres given how short it was. However, fans are hoping to get another iteration of the fight come Avengers: Secret Wars, given the tons of cameos that are expected to be a part of the film from Marvel Legacy characters.

Among the slew of cameos that Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to have, there are a few cameos that fans are pretty excited about. To begin with, there is a potent call for Liev Schreiber to reprise his role as Sabretooth, who was the second iteration of the character.

This version of the character had a much closer relationship with Logan and could merit one last fight to finish the arc that was started in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Not only would this be an opportunity to resolve any conflict that is still lingering between the two, but it can also resume the tag team that the two characters had going in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Seeing the two characters slice and dice through the minions of Doom in Avengers: Secret Wars would be a treat to watch for audiences.

There are a host of other cameos that would please audiences during Avengers: Secret Wars

Eric Bana in Hulk (2003) || Universal

While a lot of Marvel Legacy characters have graced the MCU with their presence, there are few that fans are very keen on seeing. Eric Bana‘s Hulk from his 2003 film would be a great addition to the film. Sue Storm, played by Jessica Alba in 2005’s Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: The Silver Surfer, is also someone fans want to see in the MCU.

There are other characters like Ben Affleck‘s Daredevil, the old and new cast of the X-Men films, older versions of characters that got recast in the MCU (such as Edward Norton‘s Hulk), and of course, versions of characters played by those who were almost cast in the role (such as John Krasinski as Captain America). Fans also have been wanting to see Nicolas Cage reprise his role as Ghost Rider from his own films.

What would be interesting to see among the Legacy characters is where they ended up in their own universe after all these years. The threequel to The Fantastic Four was set to introduce Franklin Richards, and would also have Djimon Hounsou essay the role of Black Panther.

Further, 2003’s Hulk lived in a self-imposed exile by the end of the film, which could have translated to a Bruce Banner who has not turned into the Hulk for 23 years. A planned sequel for the film was set to include The Leader and Abomination but failed to meet its filming deadline in 2004.

Avengers: Secret Wars will hit theatres on May 7, 2027.
