Elden Ring is one of the most popular RPG titles in the world right now. Besides stunning visuals and a unique storyline, the importance of minute details is also a reason for this success. Despite playing the game for hours, fans miss certain aspects of the game. This shows how structurally detailed this FromSoftware open-world game is.
A similar thing happened when a player found out a map detail after playing the game with more than 300 players. Fans are in awe of how that map detail didn’t catch the player’s attention even after playing the game for so long. Not only that, some fans think this detail is an allusion to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC of Elden Ring.
After Playing Elden Ring for 300+ Hours, a Fan Finally Finds Out a Small Map Details
We know how FromSoftware is keen to add Easter eggs and other details to their games so finely. But no one couldn’t believe it’s so easy to miss small details in this game. Recently, in the Elden Ring subreddit, a player shared a screenshot of the map.
After 300+ hours I only now noticed the tiny giants on the mountaintop map

In that picture, there are instances of several tiny giants scattered across the Mountaintop of the Giants region. What struck the fans more was the posture they were holding. There were over ten giants, and all of them were kneeling forward in a certain way.
At first, those giants might look tiny and weird. But according to some fans, the players are actually the size of those giants’s toes.

Another fan has emphasized another fine detail – those tiny giants are toe-sized to the giants buried all over Caelid and The Mountaintops. The head of one of these huge giants can be seen in the bottom left corner of the map.
Is This a Teaser of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?
After this small detail is revealed, speculations have begun. Many fans have stated that this small detail in the map is somehow related to the theories of Messmer from the highly anticipated DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. This DLC will be released on June 20, 2024, and keeping the past records of FromSoftware in mind, the fans’ speculations could well be true.
However, it’s not clear if that small map detail was present from the very beginning. The Elden Ring map has been updated with the patches, so it might be a teaser of the upcoming patch.
The significant details of the game make Elden Ring what it is today. Have you ever encountered such details in the game? Then share with us in the comment section.
