Sanji’s character is brilliantly written by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece as witnessed during the Whole Cake Island arc. He is considered one of the most underrated characters in the series but his influence is much more than fans recognize, especially in terms of battles and fights.

Sanji only uses his legs in combat but still manages to defeat his enemies. He has an array of attacks but the strongest among those are Diable Jambe and Iftrit Jambe. However, a One Piece theory states that Sanji will get a third Jambe transformation which will probably make him stronger than his rival, Roronoa Zoro.

Sanji’s Diable Jambe and Ifrit Jambe

Sanji employs a martial arts technique known as the Black Leg Style. Sanji made it, naming it after Zeff’s nickname, and modeled it after the pirate’s fashion. He possesses a variety of attacks that include his legs and kicking that he can employ during a fight. However, Diable Jambe and Ifrit Jambe are the two most powerful of these many attacks.

Sanji’s Diable Jambe technique requires heating up his leg, which adds intense heat to the impact of his kicks. Since the temperature is so high, Sanji can use this to either burn or set his opponents on fire. Sanji has the potential to use this type of technique with both of his legs at once or with his left or right. Ifrit Jambe is a considerably stronger variation of Diable Jambe that Sanji created during the Raid on Onigashima.

During the Wano Country Arc, he used his Raid Suit three times, which awoke his dormant genetic changes and gave him the ability to combine his exoskeleton with his Armament Haki. This allowed Sanji’s legs to withstand even hotter flames than they had previously, causing them to become blue and produce lightning-like streaks of fire.

Theory Suggests Sanji Will Get a New Jambe Technique

According to a theory posted on OPFanpage by Zoro D Goat, it is well known that Eiichiro Oda has a fondness for mythology and has incorporated it into his writing. Thus, the mythology states that Sanji ought to have Surtr Jambe, the third and last stage of Jambe. Surtr is a fire demon or primordial giant that appears in Norse mythology.

He is the first fire giant to reign over the blazing wasteland known as Muspelheim. Back in Thriller Bark, Zoro warned Usopp that if Sanji kept getting furious, he might change into something. Against Queen, Sanji claims that his fire stems from his passion, hence his flames might continue to burn even longer.

Sanji stated that his legs can now withstand the heat of the flames thanks to his recently upgraded exoskeleton and the Armament he has been practicing with; but, his legs will not be able to withstand their impact. Thus it can be said that he will get a major upgrade in the future which might be called Surtr Jambe, which will ignite black flames.
