In the end, it was revealed that the drawing was of Tony Tony Chopper. The video ended with the camera shifting and focusing on the drawing. Everyone was overjoyed since every hint pointed at Chopper’s entry in the live adaptation.
One Piece Live Action season one ended with the Arlong Park arc and will continue with the East Blue Saga, with the next arc being the Loguetown arc. Then, the focus will shift to the Grandline. Drum Island, the third island of the Grandline, will feature Tony Tony Chopper for the first time. By the end of the arc, he will become a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, joining them as the ship’s doctor.
Chopper’s live-action debut is no longer a speculation since it was announced by Eiichiro Oda. But there is still one question the fans are yet to find the answer to. According to the fans, Christian Convery is the perfect actor to land the role of Tony Tony Chopper in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action. The child actor has gained worldwide popularity after starring in Netflix’s Sweet Tooth. So, he is pretty familiar with Netflix. Sweet Tooth began airing in 2021 and currently has two seasons.
One of the biggest reasons for fans choosing Convery as the perfect Chopper is that he plays the role of a half-human and half-deer boy. He has deer-like ears and antlers stretching out from either side of his head. Chopper is a reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Human Devil Fruit, which makes him half-deer and half-human. The look is quite similar to the Straw Hats’ doctor. He is fourteen years old, which makes his height match that of Chopper’s.
Convery has experience, looks, and has worked with Netflix previously. Sweet Tooth’s character is pretty much similar to One Piece’s Tony Tony Chopper. So, he would not need much grooming to land the role. But it is still just a speculation. Everyone would love to see him as Chopper. But there is also a possibility of Netflix using CGI to portray the character on-screen. Until further confirmation, nothing can be said.
