The Corridors of Time was first shown in Season of Dawn, the ninth season of Destiny 2 back from Shadowkeep expansion. Since then, there haven’t been many updates on this broad place from the Destiny 2 universe.

This discovery is a rather cool Easter egg, but it also suggests a connection between past visions and reality. Does Ergo Sum’s existence foreshadow an inevitable future where Guardian is dead? Or is this an alternative timeline?

Nevertheless, Ergo Sum is a powerful endgame weapon and while its connection to Corridors of Time lingers on it is yet to be seen how the campaign ends. Fans are already eager to find out all Ergo Sum capabilities as they farm the sword multiple times.

The lore behind Ergo Sum is rather interesting and it looks like it rounds out the story, a more important question is how to get it. Guardians will need to complete a series of quests to put this exotic weapon in their rich inventory.

Guardians eager to wield this exotic sword need to complete the “Destined Heroes” exotic quest. However, this is endgame content, and players will first need to finish The Final Shape campaign.

After completing the campaign, players need to return to the Last City and interact with Ghost. Guardians will then receive the Destined Heroes questline which is a key to obtaining Ergo Sum in The Final Shape.

This is a quite lengthy storyline but Ergo Sum is well worth the process. Moreover, there is a whole lot of The Final Shape story within these quests to learn. Ergo Sum is a highly customizable weapon but one perk is permanent, Transcendent Duelist.

The exotic weapon comes with a different sword frame, different blade perks, different guard perks, and one of several Exotic perks every time it is obtained. There are two methods to farm Ergo Sum:

  • Pathfinder
  • Daily Overthrow Activity

Destiny 2 has never shied away from introducing multiple weapons that change the meta, and Ergo Sum is just one of many additions in The Final Shape expansion. The fact that is a strong weapon, and a cool story behind it only adds to its value and undoubtedly it will be heavily used by Guardians.
