Solo Leveling recently got an anime adaptation by A-1 Studios, and it opened the way for many other famous and globally acclaimed Manhwa series to get one, too. One popular series that fans want to see animated after Solo Leveling is none other than Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, which Sing Shong writes.

However, despite the massive fanbase of the series, the turbulent relationship between Japan and Korea in the past, which always forces Korea Manwha adaptations to change certain aspects of the story, might cause the promising series not to achieve significant success, as seen with Solo Leveling.

A change in plot line could prove fatal to Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint anime

After many years of waiting, Solo Leveling finally got an anime adaptation, which A-1 Studios did, and so far, the series has released two episodes. The world of Manwha’s is made up of many good series, and one of the most prominent is Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, a series with one of the best world-building and plot.

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint started as a web novel in 2018, and later, in 2020, the series received a Manhwa adaptation. It is still being serialized, and reportedly, it is all set to receive an anime adaptation following the success of Solo Leveling.

However, some aspects might tarnish the success of the story. Due to Korea and Japan’s entangled and atrocious past, every Manwha adaptation goes through changes.

This includes changing Korean names to Japanese, changing the locations from Korea to Japan, and many more things to satisfy the Japanese audience. Solo Leveling anime has also undergone many changes, and a separate version is being released for the Japanese audience that is different from the global versions.

However, one of the major arcs of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint relies on the past of Japan and Korea. If the studio changes the setting of the story, it might create a massive problem for the series.

Solo Leveling has impressed fans right from the get-go
