Ever since the events of the Avengers: Endgame, many fans have lost interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the hype can be recreated following the introduction of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men in future MCU movies.
The audience saw an example of it at a smaller scale in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where a version of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X alongside the Fantastic Four was killed off. Many believe that the remaining members of the X-Men will be served a similar fate in the future.

One Fan Theory Suggests Magneto Will Meet His End in Avengers: Secret Wars
Following the cameo of Professor X and co. in Doctor Stranger in the Multiverse of Madness, it has opened new ways for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to include X-Men characters in a future Avengers movie.
Keeping that in mind, a plethora of fan theories are making their way to social media regarding the future of fan-favorite character, Magneto. One fan on Quora recently made a post regarding the same along with the fate of a few other characters as well.
The theory was posted as part of the answer to the question about how Ian McKellen’s Magneto can make a comeback in Avengers: Secret Wars. It stated that Magneto will meet a similar fate as Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, who was killed by Wanda Maxinoff in Doctor Stranger in the Multiverse of Madness.
On top of that, the fan also believes the younger versions of Magneto and Professor X in the aforementioned Avengers movie. That’s not the end, as the fan pointed out that a bunch of new mutants will be introduced for the movie but will be killed in just five minutes.
Last but certainly not least, X-23 will be most likely killed off as well. The reason is that the MCU will most likely want to reboot the entire X-Men universe to erase the memory of 20th Century Fox’s rendition of the characters.
What Will Avengers: Secret Wars Be About?
Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to be the next money-making movie for Marvel Studios. After all, the last few films haven’t really been successful for the MCU.
Keeping that in mind, the upcoming Avengers films are expected to help the MCU make a huge comeback. As far as the story of the film is considered, it was previously expected to focus primarily on Kang the Conqueror.
However, following the firing of Jonathan Majors due to his offscreen controversy, the future of Avengers: Secret Wars is in danger. As of now, there is no confirmation about the plot of the movie.
The most well-accepted theory about the plot is that the film it will feature an all-out war between Avengers and X-Men. Well, only time will tell whether that turns out to be true or not.
