One Piece Chapter 1109 Spoilers Reveal Luffy’s New Attack

Full chapter summary spoilers for One Piece chapter 1109 indicate that Luffy is still holding Admiral Kizaru’s and Saint Jaygarcia Saturn’s heads. Kizaru attacks Luffy with a laser beam, which Luffy avoids. Luffy wants to know why the attacks he makes aren’t causing damage to Saturn and how is he able to come back much stronger than before.

He then crushes Saturn and Kizaru together, causing them to resemble flat sheets of paper with stars encircling their heads, like those in vintage animated films. Luffy calls the move “Gomu Gomu no Dawn Cymbal.” The two are subsequently seized by Luffy and thrown into the ocean, where Kizaru hits and lands on a warship before collapsing and gasping.

The attack is a different attack than what fans saw during the Wano arc on Onigashima when Luffy was fighting Kaido. His cartoonistic behavior is reflected in his attacks and seems to follow a pattern that is only available to him when he uses the Gear 5 form.

Luffy’s Attack Has No Effect on Saturn

Luffy putting out an additional wave of attacks may be a wonderful development for One Piece fans, but it may also have a minor issue. It seems that the problem is that Saturn is not being adversely affected by the brutal assault. Every time Luffy attacks him, Saturn comes back even stronger than before.

When Luffy uses the “Gomu Gomu no Dawn Cymbal” to throw Saturn, he remains without injury and flies back like a boomerang, attacking Luffy with his legs in a similar maneuver to the Gum-Gum UFO. After avoiding the blow, Luffy is enraged to see that Saturn is unharmed and no matter what he does, Saturn is taking no damage.

This demonstrates that Luffy’s strike on Saturn is ineffective even in Gear 5 form, which will undoubtedly cause major issues down the road since Saturn has also summoned the other Gorosei. As the chapter is scheduled to release on March 3, 2024, fans will have to wait for new development as the series is on a break next week.
