Dracule Mihawk, the man who holds the title of the World’s Strongest Swordsman, has been feared by many, even though he has never shown the true extent of his powers. He is deemed the rival of one of the Emperors of the Sea, Red-Haired Shanks, and even though he can become an Emperor, he chooses not to.
This in itself speaks of the power he possesses. He was recently seen working together with Crocodile and Buggy, as they co-founded the organization called Cross Guild. Since then, no new update about the World’s Strongest Swordsman has been made in the series, and the fans eagerly await to see what he is capable of.
However, One Piece fans have one doubt regarding Dracule Mihawk that will decide whether he will be a part of the final battle. This doubt is whether Mihawk possesses the Advanced Conqueror’s Haki or not. This has never been officially confirmed by Eiichiro Oda, but he might have dropped some hints about it.
The Difference Between Conqueror’s Haki and Advanced Conqueror’s Haki
Haki is a mystery power used primarily by One Piece’s most powerful adversaries. It is an important source of strength in the One Piece universe. Haki is essentially a person’s ambition or willpower. Anybody can harness this force to fortify themselves with constant training. Conqueror’s Haki is a unique power that only a small number of people are born with.
This power is very terrifying because it’s said to only exist in one person out of a million. It is a highly unusual power that permits people to impose their will on others. Its presence instantly renders weaker targets unconscious. Fans of One Piece discovered that Conqueror’s Haki has an additional stage in the Wano arc.
The Advanced Conqueror’s Haki is an astounding power that allows the user to cover their body, attacks, and weapons with Conqueror Haki, greatly increasing their combat efficiency. This ability allows users to strike and hurt others through a Haki barrier without making physical contact.
Eiichiro Oda Might Have Confirmed That Mihawk Also Has Advanced Conqueror’s Haki
Mihawk, the World’s Strongest Swordsman, has been portrayed as Zoro’s ultimate opponent throughout the One Piece series. Given that Zoro has been revealed to be both a Supreme King and an Advanced Conqueror’s Haki user, it is illogical to believe that Mihawk, who will battle Zoro after One Piece, has none of these skills.
Mihawk rose to popularity by battling and vanquishing progressively more formidable opponents until he was left with no deserving opponents. He became the world’s strongest swordsman and lost interest in fighting his opponent, Shanks. However, even Shanks possessed Advanced Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece.
Therefore, both Shanks and Zoro have Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. Thus, it’s only logical for Mihawk to have this ability. Additionally, he is the only one besides Ryuma who was able to make their blade permanently black with the help of Armament Haki. This feat itself offers a glimpse at the Haki powers of the World’s Strongest Swordsman in One Piece.
