You might want to sit down for this, but a romantic relationship has been hinted at between Imu and Queen Lily. In the manga, lilies were spotted in Imu’s room. The flowers might symbolize the queen herself, but they also symbolize love and mourning. This made fans suspect Imu could have been involved in a romantic relationship with Queen Lily.
However, since Vivi is also a member of the D clan, Imu’s intentions might far surpass love and loneliness. He could have been a trustee of Queen Lily, which would give him access to secrets essential for the World Government’s survival.
