However, it is more challenging than One Piece fans thought. The Straw Hat crew, especially their captain Monkey D. Luffy is currently battling the Five Elders, with the help of the Giants Dorry and Brogy, who were introduced in the Little Garden arc. However, even with the help of the giants, Luffy has yet to be able to inflict much damage on the strongest power in the World Government.

One Piece fans should not lose hope, as another probable ally of Joyboy is soon going to enter the battlefield. This ally is none other than Iron Giant, the fabled robot that attacked Mary Geoise over two hundred years ago. His involvement in the battle also confirms one major Joyboy theory that’s now too hard to ignore.

Iron Giant’s Apology to Joyboy Confirms Major Theory

Recently, spoilers for One Piece chapter 1111 were posted, and the chapter’s closing panel featured the old iron robot on Egghead Island finally rising in the middle of Luffy’s fight against the Gorosei, with Dorry and Broggy supporting him. Upon awakening, Joyboy receives an enigmatic apology from the Iron Giant.

When the Iron Giant brought up Joyboy, One Piece fans were able to make some connections between these incidents and reinforced the widely held belief of Joyboy. According to a theory by u/delgalessio, Joyboy was actually a giant, and it is supported by multiple pieces of evidence that have been witnessed in the One Piece story.

Zuneisha, the old gigantic elephant who appeared during the Zou and Wano arcs, was the last character in the novel to make such a prominent reference to Joyboy. Joyboy’s affiliation with the gigantic elephant and robot has led many to imagine that he was also a giant. This fan idea is also supported by Mary Geoise’s huge straw hat, which is thought to belong to Joyboy.

The Importance of Giants in One Piece

Giants are a humanoid race that dwarfs all other known races in terms of stature. The most well-known giants are those from the island of Elbaf. For a very long time, Giants have been expected to be an important story aspect. Additionally, there have been instances in the story that revealed that the Giants also praised the Sun God Nika.

Their entrance in Egghead has undoubtedly shaken up the conflict and might offer the necessary diversion for the Straw Hats to make their intended escape. Also, Dorry and Brogy are already friends with Luffy and Usopp. Thus, their becoming an ally of the Straw Hat Pirates will be much easier than expected.

If Luffy and his crew are able to form an alliance with the giants during One Piece’s final adventure, there is no doubt that they will play an important part in turning the tide of the struggle against the World Government and restoring balance to the seas. But for that, the Straw Hat Pirates have to escape from Egghead and reach Elbaf.
