It is not an uncommon phenomenon to see the fan base of two different franchises often trolling each other on social media platforms. Such is the case with the fans of the recent Avatar: The Last Air Bender Live-Action series and the One Piece Live-Action Series that came out last year.
It all started with a Twitter post calling out how the Avatar live-action series debuted with nearly double the amount of watch time that One Piece had during its release. This was soon followed by the reply section filled with comments as the fan bases had a field day with each other.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Managed Nearly Twice The Watch-Time Of One Piece Live-Action Series
For added context, the One Piece live-action series came out in August last year after much anticipation. It is, without a doubt, one of the most successful live-action adaptations as it captures the essence of the series by Eiichiro Oda perfectly with the cast additionally doing their own stunts instead of relying on any doubles.
However, the recent release of Avatar: The Last Airbender has received, if not greater, than an equal amount of love from the fans, which is proven by the previously stated statistic. While watch time should not be a matter of concern to any of the watchers, there are still many who opt to spend their time on the internet arguing and purposefully defending their favorite series.
Nonetheless, both of these productions have been done by and are available on the popular streaming platform Netflix, which is also the reason why it is easier to acquire and compare statistics of different shows the platform chooses to release.
Fans React To Avatar: The Last Air Bender Getting More Watch-Time Than One Piece
As stated before, fans of different series opt to spend their time on the internet arguing with other strangers over the dominance of one production over the other. This is what has been happening recently on social media platforms, with fanbases of both the series mentioned above going at it for a while now
Avatar relates to struggles of humans, one piece is fictional show with no real touching story.

To conclude, there have been mixed reactions to the live-action adaptation of Avatar receiving better watch time than that of the series, which was personally overlooked by Eiichiro Oda himself. Nonetheless, what should essentially matter in the end is how both of these productions have been made available to fans, despite the common belief that live-action adaptation can not be good, at least till a few years ago.
Avatar: The Last Air Bender is available to stream on Netflix.
