Eiichiro Oda has always been one for foreshadowing with some of the most subtle details possible. One Piece being as long as it is, the foreshadowing is almost endless, taking fans back hundreds of episodes and chapters behind to discover how the mangaka gave away major details without paying any attention. While he is not the first to do so, the attention to detail brings about a certain sense of thrill when discovering how easily such things get missed.
While manga and anime are both ongoing at a steady pace, the other spectrum of the world is seeing the escalating feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. At first glance, the two of them have no relation whatsoever. Even if one scratches their heads until their hair falls off, it would make little to no sense. However, that is far from the case.
Eiichiro Oda’s Foreshadowing Ability Goes Beyond Belief
Kendrick Lamar went on an all-out war against Drake with Euphoria being released not too long ago. The diss track was one that caught fans off guard but it is the events that took place thereafter that had them spiraling even more. Mere three days after the song’s release, Lamar went ahead and released another diss track targeting Drake, 6:16 in L.A.
That in itself is capable enough to create a chaotic uproar throughout the internet. Fans have since been wrecking their brain over the significance that the number holds. The conclusion, one that eagle-eyed One Piece fans came to discover, was a chapter that came out more than a decade ago. Chapter 616 of the manga is what makes them believe that Eiichiro Oda is perhaps undefeated in terms of foreshadowing.
While all in jest, the ironic similarities are not missable once put to notice. Seemingly the audiences have a similar thought.
Drake vs Kendrick Lamar Had an Early Prediction
Drake vs Kendrick Lamar’s Feud has seen ongoing growth from subtle remarks to dedicated diss tracks. It first began with simple lines, escalating very quickly to full songs that expressed their dismay towards each other. Put into attention via One Piece fans on X, there is a significance to 6:16 that many might have missed.

Chapter 616, released all the way back in 2011, is actually titled ‘Anniversary of Revenge.’ In the midst of this heavy back and forth, Eiichiro Oda rises once again not only as a legendary mangaka but also for predicting something coincidentally that was far beyond his capabilities.
Fans have even gone as far as to call One Piece and Oda the new Simpsons, who are already renowned for their astonishing ability of coincidental predictions.
