Vinsmoke Sanji is considered to be one of the Monster Trio among the Strawhat pirates. One Piece has several powerful characters, and after the Wano arc, Sanji has established himself as one of the most potent individuals in Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus. The abilities that he wanted to run away from were unlocked by him during his fight with Queen of the Beast Pirates.
A hard exoskeleton and the ability to contain hotter flames gave him a boost in his abilities. But the One Piece fandom has often left him out when it came to unlocking Conqueror’s Haki. While Roronoa Zoro is the second Strawhat after Luffy to unlock this ability, fans do not believe Sanji to be able to achieve it due to his lack of conquering. But an overpowered character already paved the path to achieving that power without any motive for conquering.
Sanji Could Soon Unlock The Conqueror’s Haki
After the Wano arc, Vinsmoke Sanji’s bounty has increased by over one billion berries, making him a powerful entity in One Piece. But people often give more importance to Zoro due to him unlocking Conqueror’s Haki. Unlike Luffy and Zoro, Sanji does not want to conquer anything. His dream is to reach the All Blue. Without the urge to conquer something, he might never be able to achieve the ultimate form of Haki.
But a new fan theory states Sanji could soon unlock Conqueror’s Haki, considering the path Edward Newgate paved for him. Edward Newgate, commonly known as Whitebeard, is the former captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and the strongest man to be alive. Like Sanji, he despised the idea of conquering anything. He just wanted to have a family and be surrounded by loved ones.
Even after not having any proper urge to conquer, he became one of the strongest users of Conqueror’s Haki. So, it still leaves space for Sanji to reach the same level as Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro. Moreover, it is natural for all three members of the Monster Trio to be able to use Conqueror’s Haki.
Sanji’s Conqueror’s Haki is a Step Closer to the One Piece for the Strawhat Pirates
Sanji unlocking Conqueror’s Haki is a piece of good news for him as well as the Strawhats. It might help him to increase his bounty and surpass Roronoa Zoro and not get called ‘Number 4.’ On the other hand, it would make them a more powerful crew, especially when the Blackbeard Pirates have several strong members with the capability of overthrowing the military.
Even though the theory claims Whitebeard to have paved the road for Sanji, it is mentioned in One Piece that people are born with that particular power. Everyone can unlock Observation Haki and Armament Haki through training, but Conqueror’s Haki comes built-in. So, it depends on Sanji whether it is there or not.
For the moment, it is just a fan theory. Only time will tell whether the Monster Trio reaches their utmost monstrosity with a new Conqueror’s Haki user. He could be in a dormant state, and with One Piece in its Final Saga, Eiichiro Oda might soon allow him that power. But until the creator confirms or there are any official confirmations, everything is a fan theory.
