With each passing day, we are nearing the end of the most eminent anime and manga series of all time, One Piece. With the ending in hindsight, Oda sensei finally unveils mysteries that have been foreshadowed from the story’s beginning. One of the most mysterious characters is Loki, the prince of giants.
Currently, the Egghead arc or the future island arc is about to be wrapped up, and the next destination is most likely going to be Elbaf, the country where giants reside. Fans might be in for a reveal and would be able to see Loki, one of the story’s most anticipated characters.
When will Loki be introduced in One Piece?
One of the many reasons One Piece is hailed as the pinnacle of anime and manga is the world-building of Eiichiro Oda, who has managed to keep readers on the edge of their seats for more than 20 years now.
Oda sensei does an incredible job of subtly hinting at things and connecting them to a significant plot point. Among the many enigmas in the series, one major one is the Elbaf island, which was oriented to the audience in One Piece chapter 858.
Loki is the prince of giants and a very esteemed figure among the masses of Elbaf. So far, Oda sensei has not shown much about him aside from giving a sneak peek at his appearance. Loki has only been shown as a blacked-out silhouette.
The usual giants are already at least 12 meters tall, and Loki will likely be even more towering. Since he is the prince, it goes without saying that he would be the most powerful among them. We have seen how rugged Dorry and Brogy are, and Loki will be even more potent than them.
In Big Mom’s flashback, we see his personality as he falls in love with her daughter Lola. However, Lola ran away before their marriage, which caused the giants to be more enraged with Big Mom regarding the treatment their prince received.
Fans are also in a dilemma about how Loki would be in the story: would he help the Straw Hats or deceive them? Since he is based on the Greek god Loki, who was deemed very naughty, Loki is not guaranteed to ally with Straw Hats or go against them.
What’s happening in One Piece?
One Piece is on a generational run, and each chapter gets more intense. Oda sensei is not holding back and giving the readers peak-after-peak chapters. Oda sensei’s writing can be compared to wine; the older it gets, the better it becomes.
The Egghead arc materializes the base for many future events in the series, and the next destination is set for the Straw Hats.
In the recent chapters, we saw Dorry and Brogy arrive on the future island to take the Straw Hats away from danger, who were in a fierce fight with Kizaru and Saturn, and they would probably take them to Elbaf, which is the nearest island to Egghead island.
Luffy has not been informed of Garp’s abduction by Blackbeard pirates. The instance Luffy hears about it, he goes straight for Blackbeard to save Garp, and we can finally see him getting revenge for his brother Ace and going berserk if Garp gets executed in front of him.
