Actor Jeremy Allen White showcased his acting talent as a young, award-winning chef in the comedy-drama television series, The Bear. In his latest film, The Iron Claw, the actor teams up with fellow actor Zac Efron. However, Allen White admits that he has never watched his co-star’s High School Musical movies, the movies that made Efron a household name around the world.
Allen White is ready to watch the movie but only on one condition: if Zac Efron holds his hand throughout the film. Their latest film, The Iron Claw, has been named one of the top 10 films of 2023 by the National Board of Review. The film focuses on the Von Erich family, a dynasty of professional wrestlers from Texas that had enormous success in the 1980s.

In a recent episode of the Just for Variety podcast, actor Jeremy Allen White admitted that he has never watched High School Musical movies, the movies that popularised Zac Efron as an actor. Allen White explained that he is ready to watch the movies on one condition,
“I haven’t seen them – Sorry, Zac. I will watch them. I will. Only if Zac holds my hand throughout. That’s how we’ll get it done.”
High School Musical (2006) was a massive success and played a key role in making Zac Efron a well-known name in the industry. Two sequels, High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3: Senior Year, were released in August 2007 and October 2008 respectively.

Jeremy Allen White and Zac Efron have showcased their talents in director Sean Durkin’s latest film, The Iron Claw (2023). The film tells the story of the popular Von Erich family, a dynasty of professional wrestlers from Texas that popularised the iron claw professional wrestling hold. In the film, Zac Efron plays Kevin Von Erich while Allen White plays Kerry Von Erich.

The film premiered at the Texas Theatre in Dallas on November 8, 2023, and was released in the United States on December 22, 2023, by A24. It is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on February 9, 2024, by Lionsgate. The film also features Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, and Lily James.
