In one scene, Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams engage in a physical confrontation within the confines of an airplane bathroom. Unfortunately, during the filming of this scene, Murphy miscalculated his movements, resulting in McAdams hitting her head against a wall and reportedly losing consciousness.
Fortunately, The incident was captured in the film’s gag reel, indicating a lighthearted approach to the mishap. Notably, in the final scene, Murphy can be seen protecting McAdams’ head, showing his concern for her well-being. After all, it seems that McAdams has a knack for hurting her head one way or the other.
However, this isn’t the only time that Ryan Gosling‘s ex-girlfriend has suffered an injury on the sets. While shooting her 2010 film Morning Glory, McAdams got some ‘bumps and bruises’ while filming a romantic scene.

While filming a love scene with co-star Patrick Wilson, McAdams ended up with bumps and bruises due to the unconventional approach taken by the director. Despite the initial awkwardness, the experience turned into a humorous one, with more laughter than embarrassment.
“I got bumps and bruises doing the love scenes because they wanted us to be kind of tumbling as we got in the bedroom. Roger [Michell], our director, thought it would work if we were rolling around. Awkward at first, like always, but this one had to be so mapped out because of the kind of comic moves that Patrick and I do… there was more laughing than any kind of embarrassment”.
Morning Glory was a romantic comedy featuring McAdams as an aspiring news producer and also featured Hollywood stars, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton.
