A new season, and possibly a new era for Overwatch 2.

Season 10 is set to release on April 16 with exciting new content. Let’s start with a brand-new game mode. Mirrorwatch is an essential part of the game this season, and it’s a fresh take on how players experience some of their favorite heroes. In this mode, abilities shift up and shuffle, adding a twist to the otherwise familiar gameplay from earlier seasons.

Secondly, Clash is another mode that will bring back a familiar location in a new light. Hanaoka, a location inspired by the original Hanamura, will be a new assault map for players to dive into. Seems like the devs are focused on bringing more ways to play the game, without messing up the balance changes.

From Zenyatta to Echo, several heroes are getting a new look this season, and the Battle Pass is just the beginning. Mythic updates make things interesting, as characters will feel like they are in brand-new variants, giving the cosmetic choices a much-needed update.

The game’s adorable hamster, Wrecking Ball, is also getting a rework. With the new changes, the hero can transfer up to 300 overhealth to any allies in the vicinity, even after using Adaptive Shields. The shield for each ally has been capped at 75 overhealth.

Out of all the changes and upgrades that are part of Season 10, Overwatch 2 will welcome a new hero to its DPS roster. Venture brings in a loud personality and an explosive drill to the game, using a kit that may appeal to new and old players of Overwatch.

Voiced by the Valeria Rodriguez, the hero’s charismatic presence feels both magnetic and terrifying. Venture’s abilities sway between being quite sneaky. They can burrow through the ground sneak up to enemies, and get a bit close and personal with a Tectonic Shock ability that can disrupt an entire group of enemies.

The new hero’s ability brings a lot of versatility to the game, and fans will find it quite welcoming that Venture can be unlocked for free the moment the new season arrives.
