After the success of Peacemaker season one, the highly anticipated sequel series to The Suicide Squad, fans have been eagerly awaiting news about what lies ahead for the John Cena show. Because of its distinct mix of humor and suspense, James Gunn’s DC Extended Universe (DCEU) series has already garnered a devoted fan base.
Fans of Peacemaker are anticipating the upcoming season because it features a stellar soundtrack, a cast that includes Cena, Viola Davis, and several new characters, and outstanding performances. Fans do, however, also have a few theories about what to anticipate the following year. According to one, the series may feature a new Task Force X.
Task Force X is a group of supervillains who serve the government in exchange for reduced sentences. This dysfunctional group, led by Amanda Waller (Davis), gave viewers complicated characters and challenging tasks.
One Peacemaker Season 2 Theory suggests the Series Could Introduce a New Task Force X?
Many questions and unresolved plot points from Peacemaker’s first season remained for viewers to discover. Fans are uncertain as to whether Task Force X will even be around in Season 2 after Amanda Waller’s daughter Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) exposed the public to the secretive A.R.G.U.S. at the first season’s end. Or will it reorganize without Amanda’s stifling grip severing them?
In case you missed it, A.R.G.U.S. is a government organization featured in DC Comics. Created by Geoff Johns and Gene Ha, A.R.G.U.S. is led by Amanda (played by Viola Davis).
It appears doubtful that Task Force X will reform to become its own organization, given that most of its members have either died or left the force. However, some fans have speculated that Amanda will continue to head Task Force X and form a new Suicide Squad in an effort to track down Peacemaker and the other members of the 11th Street Kids. It could be exciting to see what is in store for fans in the upcoming season.
