The Marvels is a 2023 superhero film based on Marvel comics featuring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Samuel L. Jackson. Nia DaCosta is the first Black woman to direct a Marvel movie.
Though DaCosta is already working on a project associated with Marvel, she shared her personal favorite project within the Universe. Anyways, the head of Marvel Studios currently has no intentions of reviving the project in any way.
The Marvels Director Revealed Her Favorite MCU Project
WandaVision is a 2021 TV miniseries which is based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. The show’s unique setting sets it apart—it’s like watching a TV show within a TV show.
As in it, Wanda Maximoff’s reality is represented through WandaVision. And that is the reason it is The Marvels director’s favorite. She said (as per Scarlet Witch Updates):
“That study of grief, I thought was really powerful, really moving. I just loved… You go through this whole series, and then near the end, you see basically her pain creating this entire town. I thought that was really moving and beautiful.”

The show is highly praised and has a 94% fresh Rotten Tomatoes. But unfortunately, there’s not any revival of the sitcom.
The Marvels Dircetor’s Beloved MCU Project is Not in Kevin Feige’s Revival Plans
A bad news for WandaVision fans: the show won’t have a second season as of now. It got lots of love when it came out. But the star of the Marvel series, Elizabeth Olsen, herself confirmed the news.
As of now, there is no definite news that WandaVision won’t get another season, and Elizabeth Olsen may not return as Wanda Maximoff again. Olsen said that she doesn’t intend to revisit the role because WandaVision and Multiverse have naturally moved on to its end. Anyway, she was proud to portray the character for nearly a decade.
Earlier, Kevin Feige has shown interest in bringing back Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda. It suggests that maybe a multiversal version of her might appear in a future MCU project. However, the original MCU, Wanda Maximoff, is likely considered deceased.
