James Gunn’s Young Superman Details

The script for the new Superman movie is being written by the studio’s new co-head James Gunn. The movie was announced in December 2022. As per the reports, the story will focus on young Clark Kent and his initial day at Metropolis. The CEO of DC Studios shared the news that the actor Henry Cavill will not return as Superman for the movie. Cavill also confirmed the news on social media as he revealed the new Superman movie. He said in the post,

James Gunn also took to Twitter to talk about his new and exciting project. He wrote, “Peter [Safran] and I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over the moon about.” He added, “Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life.”

Gunn and Safran met with Cavill recently, and they talked about several exciting possibilities for them to work together with DC in the future.

There are rumors about Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman may portray the role. In a recent tweet, Co-CEO James Gun replies to a tweet that the auditions have not started. He said that he has not talked to any actor, and presently he is making private lists and prepping material for auditions.

On being asked if The Vanishing of Sidney Hall actor Logan Lerman is the top choice for young Spiderman, Gunn’s reply was quite astounding. He wrote,
