As per ShowBizGalore, actor Peter Dinklage‘s salary for 2023’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes was $2 million. As per the rumors, Dinklage was the highest-paid actor on the set, but his salary for the Hunger Games movie seems like peanuts compared to his salary for HBO’s Game of Thrones.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor negotiated a $1.2 million per episode deal with the showrunners for the final season of the show. This means that Dinklage’s salary for that season alone was $7.2 million. It was revealed that the top-billed cast while filming season 7 was reportedly earning about $500,000 to $600,000 per episode so that means Dinklage would earn somewhere between $3.5 million to $4.2 million for that season’s work.

Dinklage played the role of Casca Highbottom, the Dean of the Academy and intellectual author of The Hunger Games, in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. The actor’s performance was praised but the film received mixed reviews from critics.

The film is a prequel to The Hunger Games (2012) and is the fifth installment in The Hunger Games film series. Dinklage starred alongside Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Jason Schwartzman, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, and Viola Davis in the film. It makes sense why Dinklage earned more than his co-stars as he has proved himself as one of the best actors in the world.
