Phantom Liberty is already available to play, and if your interest is in securing the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and separating the memory needed on your platform, now you can know how much storage is needed to save it for this new adventure. Marcin Momot, director at CD Projekt Red, announced on Twitter/X (below) how many gigabytes are required for each of the devices where Phantom Liberty is available.

In ascending order, PC users need the least storage among the devices with 24GB, players with the PlayStation 5 need to set aside 33GB to download the DLC, and finally, gamers who own the Xbox Series X/S have to set aside the largest and not exact memory of 38GB. It’s interesting to note that Momot only cites Xbox storage as “approximately“; we don’t know exactly why, but it’s good to remember and keep an eye on Xbox memory usage for Phantom Liberty.

The size required for the Phantom Liberty DLC of around 30GB is indeed substantial in the gaming industry, although it all depends on other circumstances such as internet speed, storage space, size of the original game, content value, and download convenience. Phantom Liberty‘s size can be compared with, for example, the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West earlier this year, which was practically half the size of the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion.

With the arrival of the DLC, many opinions have been raised on positive and negative sides, whether due to the great reviews that the expansion has received as “Savior of Cyberpunk 2077” or red flags such as the prohibition on gameplay videos being shown before launch, which greatly hampered the contextualization of materials from gamer content creators. But without a doubt, players’ expectations did not decrease; in fact, they only increased as the waiting time got shorter.

In Phantom Liberty, the player, in control of V, visits the dangerous district of Dogtown on a dangerous mission of espionage and intrigue to save the President of the New United States as a secret government agent infiltrating high-security buildings and eliminating experienced enemies. The espionage journey is high-risk and requires care in choosing your allies when anyone can risk world security, especially within the ruins of Dogtown.

The game provides a new skill tree, so you can play in multiple unique styles. This and many other new features, such as new characters (Hansen, Myers, Alex, Songbird, and Reed, played by Idris Elba), are highlights brought to the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. Phantom Liberty became available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 26.
