A Helldivers 2 fan has proposed the idea of adding these fan-made Assault missions in the game and the community loves it. These fan-made missions are quite the opposite of Evacuate High Value Assets and Arrowhead Game Studios can use this idea, in fact, Arrowhead’s head, Johan Pilestedt, revealed that they tried to implement this idea a few years ago.

There is no harm in testing out this idea again as it’s quite evident that the community loves it. Helldivers 2 has been one of the most popular co-op games of 2024 and this is just the beginning. The game is expected to expand with the introduction of a third faction, the Illuminate, and fans suspect that its arrival will not only be chaotic but also very eye-opening as players could be trusting the wrong side all this time.

A Helldivers player named ThePengu recently shared a mock-up concept (via Helldivers Alerts) of imaginary assault missions that can be added to the game. These missions basically suggest that players could destroy the Automatons and the Bugs by destroying their core base. It’s safe to say that the community loved this idea and asked Arrowhead Game Studios to add these missions to the game.

If Arrowhead adds these short yet action-packed missions to the game, it will surely attract more players for them. These missions are the quite opposite of Evacuate High Value Assets missions and allow Arrowhead to experiment with new ideas.

Many players hoped that someone at Arrowhead would come across this thread and someone did eventually reply to the concept. Fortunately, the man who came across it is the only person that can make this happen.

Arrowhead boss Johan Pilestedt subsequently added his input to the discussion, revealing that the studios planned to add such missions to the game a few years ago. Pilestedt wrote,

“This is crazy similar to a prototype objective from some years back.”

This confirms that Pilestedt is constantly looking for feedback to improve Helldivers 2 and given how many people liked this idea, there is a possibility of this idea coming to the game soon.

The Helldivers 2 community is all geared up for the arrival of the new faction, the Illuminate, but its arrival has something to do with Joel. Some players have reported that they have heard strange messages in their ships that indicate that the community will soon be betrayed by the people they trusted all along.
