Thereafter, a rumor has originated surrounding Pirates of the Caribbean star Bill Nighy almost winning the race to play Voldemort in the Harry Potter reboot, if Ralph Fiennes declines to reprise his role.

Bill Nighy Is in The Odds To Take on The Role of Voldemort

According to reports from The Herald, Bill Nighy has turned into a fan-favorite actor to play the role of the Dark Lord in the rebooted series. While previously according to the BBC, Nighy almost appeared in the movies as the new Minister for Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, since he matched the book descriptions of the character.
Fans Want Ralph Fiennes to Reprise His Role in Harry Potter Reboot
Although Bill Nighy’s fate has been tied to the Harry Potter reboot by fans, it is yet to be confirmed by HBO or any other authentic source. But while Nighy makes headlines for his potential role, most fans are still rooting for Ralph Fiennes to reprise his iconic role.
Believing that no one can portray the chilling persona of Voldemort better than Ralph Fiennes, Harry Potter fans are wishing for him to return to the franchise all over again. And certainly, the actor had expressed his interest in reprising his villainous role in the Wizarding World.
Speaking with Variety on the premiere of The Menu, Ralph Fiennes said, “Sure, of course. No question about it” when asked if he would want to play Voldemort again. So, now it’s just a matter of time until HBO contacts Fiennes and he finally confirms his decision once again.
