For those still looking to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 at at discounted price, we may have come across one of the best deals. So if you’ve been holding off, now is probably the best opportunity to pick one up at a bargain price.
Many of you will recall that the PS5 console saw a rise in price last year for many countries across the globe, including here in the UK. But not in the US? Weird, huh? But I digress. Sony blamed the price hike on rising inflation and the low price of the yen at the time.
This saw the disc edition of the PS5 rise from £449.99 to £479.99 and the digital edition rising from £359.99 to £389.99 and whilst it may not seem like a significant rise to some people, the majority of people would disagree.

How little could a PlayStation 5 cost you?
Thanks to Trusted Reviews who recently highlighted an offer available from Curry’s which at the time of writing, had the amazing offer of a brand spanking new PlayStation 5 disc edition console, complete with a disc copy of LEGO Star Wars: The SkyWalker Saga for the low low price of £399.99!! The console itself has 825GB of storage, 4k Ultra HD graphics and it wouldn’t be complete without a DualSense controller, complete with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
That my friends, is a bargain. And retailing around £80 less than what a PlayStation 5 console alone costs with other retailers. However it was spotted that Curry’s, along with box.co.uk had the console only for £399.99 but surely you would want to pick up a PS5 with at least one game to go with it for the same price?
Whilst LEGO Star Wars: The SkyWalker Saga may not be everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to a console bundles, this is probably the cheapest deal we’ve seen for the PS5 since it launched back in 2020. And let’s not forget the amazing titles that are scheduled to drop in the next few months; Spiderman 2, Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, to name but a few.
One thing is for sure, this is the cheapest we have ever seen the price of the PlayStation 5 and if you haven’t got one yet and are looking, you would be foolish to pass up on this offer.
