One of the main PlayStation Portal leakers has also revealed possible specs for the Nintendo Switch 2. This new Nintendo console could be announced this year and launch sometime in 2025. As for the Switch 2 specs, they are not very promising; even the Steam Deck is more powerful than the rumored device.
The price could be between 400 and 500 dollars. According to the leaks, it will run between a Steam Deck and an Xbox Series S. This information is not yet confirmed by any official source, and Nintendo has not made any kind of announcement.
Nintendo Switch 2 specs are not very exciting compared to a Steam Deck
The speculations about the Nintendo Switch 2 specs keep coming. The first Switch console was launched back in 2017 and was a complete success for Nintendo after the horrible performance of the WiiU. Almost seven years later, the Switch can no longer run third-party games without any problem, and some titles could not even hit the 30 fps mark.
So the need for a new console is necessary, as even the exclusive games cannot perform correctly on this platform. The last entries in the Pokémon franchise were pretty poorly executed by the console.
Zuby_Tech on X posted the rumored new specs of the Nintendo Switch 2. These are all the details:

- Switch 2 APU completed in 2022
As you can see, this console is not very powerful; it does not even reach the PS5 and Xbox Series X specs. But this is not something that Nintendo requires specifically, because with the Switch, it was the same decision.
This time, it will be wise to give the console more power so it can run games with fewer issues and better performance. This is speculative, so nothing is confirmed yet.
Nintendo Switch 2 and a possible new success for the company
As for the price range, it is projected to be between $399 and $499, but this could change close to the launch of the console. The original Nintendo Switch was $299, and it made sense for the specs that were available at that particular moment. Nintendo will reveal the console at any time now.
The original Nintendo Switch was announced in October 2016 with a price and release date. The Japanese company could make the same kind of announcement for this new hardware.
