Hayek asked if he was talking about her “br**sts.” When the host acknowledged that he was talking about her br**sts, she shared that in her class she was the youngest one, and how other girls started to have physical changes when they hit puberty, but she was not going through any changes, which scared her.
“Yes, because I was the youngest in my class and all the girls started getting them and I wasn’t getting anything and I was really scared.”
Jimmy Carr was surprised and asked the actress, “What did you do?” The question incited a laugh from the audience. The Grown Ups actress shared that she went on a road trip with her parents, they went to a church that had a saint who was renowned for “a lot of miracles.” The actress was desperate and when they were about to leave, she went back dipped her hand in holy water, and prayed to Jesus to give her “some b**bs.”
“Okay, we went on a road trip with my parents and we went to this church that had a saint that was supposed to do a lot of miracles. I was getting teased a lot because everybody was like older and I was like that skinny tomboy, and so when we went back to the car I said ‘Oh! I forgot something.’ I went back in the church put my hands in the holy water and went ‘Please Jesus, give me some b**bs.'”
Well, Salma Hayek’s prayers were answered by Jesus Christ, as she got what she wanted so desperately. However, in 2002, she was immensely nervous to play the role of Frida Kahlo.

The 2002 film, Frida showcased the life and journey of the renowned artist, Frida Kahlo. Hayek was mesmerizing in the role, and it was one of her passion projects. The actress was outstanding in portraying the artist, embodying her role, and earning her first Oscar nomination in the category for Best Actress back in 2002.
During an exclusive interview with Empire, the Puss in Boots actress shared that the anticipation before the Oscar nominations was terrifying as she was carrying the hope of Mexico, and how receiving the nomination relieved her.
“I was very scared the night before the nominations. There was so much anticipation in Mexico – so with the first nomination, my feeling was one of relief. Oh my god, at least we’ve got one. And then, the other ones came, it was very nice.”
Salma Hayek shared that she took immense pride in portraying the role of the artist, as no one was interested in making Frida. The actress believed that she was not so famous back then, and she used her imagination to make the film as realistic as possible.
