Mauville City in Hoenn, is "Violet City" in French, Violet=Future & MC underwent a REDEVELOPMENT plan in ORAS, ft. an indoor complex modeled after Lumiose City & utilizing Infinity Energy as a new power source‼️ pic.twitter.com/nyilxxTri1
With over 803k views and 2.7k likes, the post gathered enough traction to invite lively discussions in the comment section where fans poured in their two cents. The post also suggests that Hoenn region’s Mauville City, which is also called ‘Violet City’ in French, underwent a major redevelopment. This includes a 60+ level subterranean indoor complex modeled after Lumiose City itself and is run on Infinity Energy as its power source.
Rumored to be released for Nintendo Switch 2, the emerging theories are truly mesmerizing.
There's a very high possibility it will be set in both future and the past given on what are the kalos legendaries based off. They could use the concept of Yggdrasil and axis mundi pic.twitter.com/5ISZS3B6Ys

Whether these theories are indeed true is to be seen later but for now, it seems that Nintendo and Pokemon fans have a lot to look forward to, albeit speculatively.
What To Expect From Pokemon Legends Z-A?
The official announcement from Nintendo was widely welcomed by Pokemon fans. It spoke of the new entry being set in Lumiose City and that an urban redevelopment plan was underway to make the province a place fit for both humans and Pokemon.
Scheduled to be released in 2025, the game is quite some way off. But that hasn’t deterred fans from digging deep and coming up with theories regarding what they could expect from the game. One fan believes that this entire build-up might be for the introduction of the legendary Mewtwo.
There’s also the much simpler explanation of how the hell else they gonna fit in Mewtwo Kalos already had all the Kanto legendaries in its regional dex to make up for the lack of its own and Mewtwo also has 2 megas so it’d be a huge missed opportunity to not include it.
While it does make a lot of sense, not all players are convinced that the game is set in the future as some still believe that the names of the cities are just coincidences and that the game is actually set in the past. Some others even said that the game might just feature time jumps.
