Kissing on screen sometimes can be a strange experience especially when the two actors performing aren’t quite familiar with each other. But this wasn’t the case for Scarlett Johansson and her Marvel costar Chris Evans, who locked lips on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which led to many fans shipping the two actors.

And while kissing her costars hasn’t always been smooth sailing for the Oscar-nominated actor, Johansson was extremely comfortable while sharing a kiss with Evans, following their long history.

Scarlett Johansson Was Delighted to Smooch Chris Evans

Although the two haven’t been romantically inclined towards each other despite dating rumors, the Marvel Stars has been great friends for the better part of the last two decade. Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans‘ friendship predates the duo’s debut in the realm of superheroes, initially crossing paths during the production of the less-than-stellar comedy The Perfect Score. Following their close bond, the Lucy Star had no problems kissing Evans, confessing that any situation to get close to the Knives Out Star was “delightful”. Speaking to Access Hollywood, She said,

“Any excuse to get close to Chris Evans is delightful… At this point, we’re old and jaded, so it’s like, ‘Bring him on!’ No big deal. Pop in the Tic-Tacs. Get the cameras rolling.”

Similar to Johansson, Evans too was comfortable kissing the Black Widow Star, joking that “It was not a bad day at work”.

Matt Damon Jokes About His Awful Kiss With Scarlett Johansson

But unlike Chris Evans, Matt Damon, who starred alongside Scarlett Johansson in 2011’s We Bought a Zoo, revealed that kissing the Iron Man 2 Star was not a pleasant experience. While the Oppenheimer Star shares a close friendship with Johansson, kissing her on the sets of We Bought a Zoo was a disastrous experience, as she had an opinion sandwich for lunch before the shoot. In a game of Agree to Disagree for LADBible,  the actor recalled,

“She came in, and [director] Cameron Crowe had set the camera up, and it was like a tight shot of the kiss. She goes, ‘Ah shit! I literally just had an onion sandwich! I was making fun of her the entire time about her onion breath, which I didn’t even smell…because her breath smells like roses!”
