YouTuber KevinDice25 has posted two full missions from the upcoming title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, named Precious Cargo and Reactor, on his channel. During Gamescom’s Opening Night Live back in August, Activision showcased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3‘s gameplay trailer. The title for the game’s first mission was revealed by early-access gamers as Operation 627, which was also glimpsed in the gameplay trailer.

Operation 627 will see players tasked with an infiltration of a Russian prison to rescue a prisoner. In the 2009 title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, fans will remember prisoner 627 as Captain John Price. It might not be the same in the modern remake, and the 627 in the mission name could just be an Easter egg.

This is a spoiler warning for the leaked missions, as we will be discussing them in detail.

One of the missions posted by KevinDice25, titled Precious Cargo, starts with Captain Price and Ghost along with the team in a chopper, and as they get close to the drop zone, Price is informed by Laswell that Makarov has escaped, leading to the mission being aborted by Price.

The scene cuts to Urzikstan, where Farah Karim, the commander of the Urzikstan Liberation Force, is seen arriving to obtain an important cargo. Farah meets Dena, who gets sniped just as she’s about to tell Karim about the location of the cargo while driving Karim to the location.

Dena drops dead, leading to an accident with Karim falling unconscious. The mission then lets players choose their initial loadout before starting the mission. Karim heads to the cargo while taking down a Russian private military company and antagonistic faction, the Konni. The mission’s objectives state “Acquire GPS trackers from the Ship. Retrieve Manifest from the Harbor Tower Building.

The mission ends with Karim placing GPS trackers on two of the containers, each containing missiles that Konni takes with them. Karim pays her respects to Dena and then heads alone to track down the containers, instructing her team to alert the forces about Russia’s arrival. Karim leaves by saying she has to contact someone first.

Reactor Mission Brings Back Makarov as Captain Price and Ghost Target the Konni

Vladimir Makarov returns in the second mission leaked on YouTube.
Vladimir Makarov returns in the second mission leaked on YouTube.

The second mission reveals Makarov after he escapes from prison and joins the army assembled by Milena. Laswell updates Captain Price. Ghost, Soap, and Gaz head to a nuclear power plant in Urzikstan, where Laswell reveals the Konni forces have converged. Players start the mission here as Price and others make the jump above the power plant. Price takes down all the choppers in the area except one armored helo.

Price gets inside to find out what the Konni are trying to extract from the site and to find the Konni extracting chemical weapons. While Price stops some of the pods from being secured by Konni’s armored helo, it leaks, leading to a chemical gas being released from one of the pods.

Price is extracted from the site, but not before being exposed to the released gas, which makes him unconscious just as he is extracted. Upon regaining consciousness, Price realizes the Konni have gotten away with enough of the chemical gas to take down a whole country and decides to team up with Farah Karim.

The missions in the upcoming title will be open-combat missions, which will allow players to decide how they wish to proceed through each of the missions. Unlike the older titles that forced players through a linear approach, players will now have the option to either take a stealth approach or go guns blazing.

The remake of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will complete the trilogy of remakes, with both of the previous two remakes gaining high ratings. While the original game was released on November 8, 2011, the upcoming remake is scheduled for a global release on November 10, marking 12 years since the original game’s release.
