Actor Jeremy Renner recently met with an unfortunate accident while he was helping plow snow. The snow plowing machine ran over one of his legs, causing some serious injuries which led to tremendous blood loss. A neighbor present at the moment of the accident happened to be a doctor and he managed to subdue the blood loss by putting a tourniquet on the actor’s injured leg.

It goes without saying that as soon as the news was made public, the well-wishers of Jeremy Renner flooded social media with prayers for his recovery. The well-wishers included the actor’s fans as well as some big-name celebrities. His co-star, Mark Ruffalo, also asked fans to send goodness towards Jeremy Renner’s way.

Both Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner have fought evil side by side as superheroes Hulk and Hawkeye, respectively. Ruffalo joined in on the large number of people praying for Renner’s recovery as he took to Instagram to post a story for his co-star. He shared a post talking about Renner’s accident and wrote, “Prayers up for our brother @jeremyrenner on a full and speedy recovery.” Ruffalo also asked fans to send “Healing goodness his way” in the same story.

Renner and Ruffalo have been seen in a few Marvel Cinematic Universe movies together. Looking at the supportive message shared by Ruffalo, their relationship certainly goes beyond the movies.

After the horrifying accident, Renner was soon airlifted to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries. A representative of the Mayor of Kingstown actor stated that he had chest trauma and orthopedic injuries because of the accident and had undergone surgery on January 02.

“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, Jan. 2, 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

Renner’s family also thanked everyone involved in making sure Renner received proper care for his injuries. They also thanked the actor’s fans stating that they were overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that the fans have been sending the actor’s way.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Renner was the only one involved in the accident and his family has been by his side making sure he receives excellent care. Renner uploaded a photo on Instagram from his hospital bed expressing his gratitude for the kind words. He added that even though he’s “too messed up” to type, he is sending his love to everyone.

Like Ruffalo and so many others, we too hope that Renner has a quick recovery and can soon put this ordeal behind him. We can’t wait to see Hawkeye back in action!
