TV or film adaptations of video games are full of Easter eggs to keep the fans hooked and the new Fallout show is no exception. There have already been a number of them highlighted and there might be another one that fans may have missed while watching the show. While Walton Goggins nailed the role of The Ghoul, the show also sees another character eventually join the radiation club.
Fallout has been received well by fans and critics alike but the story might not be over yet. Although, season 2 of the show hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it is very likely that we’ll see it at some point given the ending of the first series. There are rumors that its filming will begin in Toronto around September 2024. Spoilers will follow so make sure to watch the show first.
This Theory Does Make Sense As Far As Serums Are Concerned
There are favorite characters and then there are interesting ones, the former might be the latter but the latter might not necessarily match the former. Johnny Pemberton’s Thaddeus is certainly the latter one. The character is a squire of the Brotherhood of Steel who used to be a ‘chef’ using flies.
His organization deserts him after he turns into a ghoul. However, this is where the latest easter egg might be hidden. A user on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) shares a theory that indicates Thaddeus might have been given the Healing Factor Serum, which is a consumable in Fallout 76, by the snake oil salesman.
🚨 #FalloutOnPrime Theory……
Was Thaddeus given the Healing Factor Serum by the Snake Oil Man? You know (sarcasm) the guy who sells ‘serums’….a theory posted in a FB group. Honestly, I didn’t even think about until it was mentioned. Thaddeus said it was ‘green’. pic.twitter.com/cTddZ97yzu

The user dubbed medic_wasteland shared a still from the show where Thaddeus is hit by a crossbow and surprisingly doesn’t die from the critical wound. On the contrary, he pulls the arrow stuck in his neck, and instead of the wound oozing out the blood, it heals almost instantly. Another image in the post shares the serum’s description.
Now That Could Be One Interesting Fallout 4 Easter Egg
Another theory according to a YouTuber dubbed TKs-Mantis, who also happens to share medic_wasteland’s post, suggests that the former fly feeder was given the Mysterious Serum, a Fallout 4 consumable.
“I am nearly positive that Thaddeus was given a vial of Mysterious Serum from Fallout 4. It tracks,” his post reads.

The theory makes more sense given that the serum reduces radiation significantly and unlike Walton Goggin’s Ghoul, Thaddeus’ appearance resembles a normal human being. The serum given to him by the snake oil salesman also regenerates Thaddeus’ foot, making both theories more plausible.
Fans who are yet to see the show may be aware that Thaddeus is a recurring character in the series, but they’ll need to see it for themselves to judge the resemblance to the video games.
