Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace is an action-adventure title that is an adaptation of the 1999 Star Wars prequel movie of the same name and was published by LucasArts and developed with Big Ape Productions. The game was released for both PC and PlayStation 1 and received mixed reviews upon launch with praises for its story, graphics, and gameplay.

Although the game was also criticized for some things such as voice acting and some parts of its gameplay, it is still a fan-favorite Classic title for Star Wars fanatics. The game is now added to PlayStation Plus and players will be able to play again as both Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi and other characters as they head to head against Darth Maul.

One of the best aspects of the game is that every playable character has unique weapons and abilities. Players can explore the game environment and talk to NPCs for directions, advice, and even trade. There are also several side-quests available for players to complete, mini-games to engage in, and exciting puzzles to solve.

Moreover, Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace is also one the first Star Wars games that featured lightsaber fights in combat that players would swing at druids to keep them at bay. There are also boss battles which are quite thrilling and sometimes also get boring but it would be nostalgic for players to visit this title again.

If that’s not tempting enough, players can also download and stream other Star Wars games like Republic Commando and Bounty Hunter, and if not, Star Wars Episode I: Racer is also available to stream. Star Wars Episode I: Racer is based on the podracing sequence of the same film that The Phantom Menace is based on and also got a great reception.

Some other Classic titles are also added to PlayStation Plus Premium including Rally Cross, Capcom’s Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection, and Square Enix’s Legend of Mana and Secret of Mana. Are you planning to play Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace? Is there any other Classic game you want to see added to PlayStation Plus? Let us know in the comments.
