The two talented artists do not share quite the best of relationship. Chris Brown’s recent song “The Weakest Link” throws serious shade at Quavo with lyrics so vicious that the song is getting respect even from his critics.

Chris Brown‘s The Weakest Link takes shots at Quavo with a multi-pronged attack. Brown throws shade at Quavo’s relationships and implied involvement with her ex. This low blow was already enough to stir up drama but he further upped the ante.

“You fu**ed my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no f**k, lil ni**a/ ‘Cause I fu**ed yo’ ex when you were still with her, bi**h, I’m up, lil ni**a.”

Brown threw punches at Quavo’s rapping skills. The song’s title itself, The Weakest Link, directly insults Quavo’s contribution to Migos, suggesting he’s the least talented member. Further lyrics seem to back this up, targeting his rapping ability compared to his deceased Migos bandmate Takeoff. And besides the insults, there was a lot of swearing as well.

You done turned the big bad wolf on, these fuck ni**as never knew revenge (Woo), This what happens when a f**k ni**a push a real ni**a out to the edge (Yeah), This what happens when a dumb ni**a get fame and it get to his head (Yeah), You gon’ kiss this ring, nigga, Big “f**k you” from my middle finger

Fans could not resist reacting to the new song. While some were surprised by Brown’s talents, others were happy to have a glimpse of the “hip-hop world war”.

The bad blood between Chris Brown and Quavo seems to be rooted in a tangled web of past relationships and disrespect. It all started with Chris Brown’s on-again, off-again relationship with model Karrueche Tran. After their split, rumors swirled that Quavo briefly dated Tran, sparking jealousy and resentment in Brown.

Over the years, there have been hints of tension in interviews and social media. In April 2024, Quavo released a diss track Tender where he targeted Brown and his relationship with Tran.

“You did the bit*h wrong and now the bit*h gone, she posted with a thug,” “Call the bit*h phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up/It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug.”

“Tell me, lil’ bro, what’s your issue? It’s over a thot,” “You said that it’s bigger than that, but no, it is not/It’s ’cause I be diggin’ in that (Ya dig?), it got ’em hot.”

Things have now escalated to a different level with Brown’s The Weakest Link. Fans are looking forward to whether or not Quavo will hit back to Brown’s latest diss track, which seems to have changed the game.
