R&B singer-songwriter Chris Brown is back in the news, and it’s still nothing to write back home about. This time he is on for calling out rapper Quavo in his latest track, Weakest Link. Like the latest ongoing rapper-feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, the media and fans are becoming privy to yet another duo taking shots at each other.

Chris Brown, who is no stranger to making headlines related to assault allegations, called out Quavo, whose clip of an elevator fight with his ex-girlfriend, rapper Saweetie, is going viral. Back in 2021, the ex-couple’s altercation was caught on a CCTV inside an elevator. Since Brown’s release, fans are looking back on the incident, with everyone having their own thoughts on it.

Chris Brown and Quavo’s Ongoing Feud

The feud between Chris Brown and Quavo is not that new. It began when Quavo started dating Karrueche Tran in 2017, who was Brown’s ex. Since then, both artists have released tracks dissing each other, as well as making comments here and there. Things recently escalated when Brown released Freak, a track from the deluxe edition of his album, 11:11. As the rap goes, Brown wrote:

“Sipping that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Quavo / Freak bitch she like Casamigos not the Migos.”

In response, the Migos rapper released a track titled Tender, where he indirectly refers to the physical altercation between Brown and his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. He wrote:

“Call the bitch phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up / It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug.”

Now, it looks like we are at yet another turn in the story, as the Kiss Kiss hitmaker took a direct hit at Quavo with his latest diss track, Weakest Link. Brown alludes to the fact that he hooked up with Quavo’s ex, rapper Saweetie, while they were still together, as well as making a reference to the elevator altercation between the ex couple.

“You fucked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no fuck, lil n**ga / ‘Cause I fucked yo’ ex when you were still with her, bitch, I’m up, lil n**ga.”

He further rapped:

“Stop talkin’ ’bout beatin’ girls, you was beatin’ bitches on the elevator / We seen the tapes, that’s devastatin.”

Now fans are looking at Quavo to see how he would respond to the latest diss, as well as having his past dug up once more. While all this is happing, Saweetie might have something to say of her own.

Fans are not that eager to take sides, but rapper-feuds are hardly ones that you can be neutral about. Fans if both artists have come up with their own thoughts on the incident as well as the latest track. One fan posted the elevator clip in their X account, asking why more people aren’t talking about this. Others have responded in kind, sharing their own thoughts on the matter.
