As per the statistics, it makes sense why Rockstar loves GTA but the Red Dead Redemption series has been exciting so far and it would be torturous to make the fans wait for a long time for the next game.

GTA 6 will certainly be a huge game for Rockstar Games as they have spent a long time developing it, not to mention the financial gains it will bring for the studios. With no signs of any development regarding Red Dead Redemption 3, it’s safe to say that the game will be released after PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are obsolete.

As Rockstar Games prepares for the next Grand Theft Auto installment, GTA 6, it’s becoming more and more apparent that they are only focusing on that game and not Red Dead Redemption 3. Right now, it is clear that Rockstar Games will not work on the next Red Dead game until 2025, and with Sony and Microsoft hinting at new consoles, it’s safe to say that the next game in the series will not be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. While it is confirmed that GTA 6 will be released on these consoles in 2025, there is no information regarding the next Red Dead game as Rockstar Games has to meet the deadline for GTA 6.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Sony Senior Vice President Naomi Matsuoka confirmed that this year, the PlayStation 5 entered the latter half of its life cycle. This further confirms the theory about Red Dead Redemption 3 releasing on next-gen consoles. In a way, this is good for the fans as they will get to play the game on a better console with improved graphics and gameplay.

Unfortunately, in order to experience this, fans will have to wait for a long time. The last two games in the series, Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 were well-received by the fans and are often labeled as two of the best Western-themed action-adventure games. Along with Red Dead Redemption 3, many of Rockstar’s other projects like remakes, remasters as well as GTA Online and Red Dead Online have been suffering due to the development of GTA 6.
