Deadpool is coming to the MCU. In July 2024, Deadpool 3 hits theaters and will see the Merc with a Mouth switching from Fox’s X-Men movie franchise to Marvel Studios’ Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Exactly how that switch will happen remains to be seen. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already found clever ways to introduce the likes of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man characters to the franchise, as well as Sir Patrick Stewart’s Professor X. Still, Deadpool’s introduction to the MCU looks set to be different.

A Redditor has devised an intriguing and highly entertaining prediction regarding how they believe Deadpool 3 will open, resulting in its eponymous character entering the MCU.

What Is The Prediction?

The prediction suggests that Deadpool 3 will begin with the eponymous character asleep in his humorously Wolverine-themed bedroom.

His alarm clock sounds with a repeated voice message calling him ugly, so he shoots it with his pistol, groggily and begrudgingly gets out of bed, and begins his morning routine.

His getting ready routine is presented in montage style. At the same time, a Deadpool voice-over updates the audience on his life: his wife passed away, he acquired a time-traveling device and did some shenanigans, he lost the motivation to be a superhero, and now he works selling cars at a dealership.

He dons a business suit and a hilarious wig before heading to his job in a taxi driven by his loyal pal Dopinder, the cab driver.

After a pathetic attempt to sell a rundown old car to an elderly lady, he retires to the men’s room with a picture of Natasha Romanoff (an aspect of the prediction that may be doubtful due to Ryan Reynolds’ previous marriage to Scarlett Johansson).

While he’s in the bathroom, doing questionable things, what appears to be an earthquake occurs. However, when Deadpool goes outside to investigate, there’s mass panic among his co-workers and customers as giant purple tears open in the sky – like those seen in 2021’s SpiderManNo Way Home.

Suddenly, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tyler Mane’s Sabretooth emerge through one of the openings and land outside the dealership. They’re in a fight, which ends when the formidable Wolverine decapitates his nemesis with a swing of his adamantium claws.

Wolverine looks around in confusion at the unfamiliar environment, prompting Deadpool to comment on how this scenario is impossible as “Wolverine died in that 2017 movie Logan,” which only confuses Wolverine more.

Wolverine asks where he is, and Deadpool tells him not to be concerned, as he’s in the safe surroundings of “Feel-Good Auto.” Deadpool then attempts to sell him a crummy old car, resulting in Wolverine getting immediately angry with him, setting a precedent for their relationship.

The MCU Connection Begins

A yellowy-orange rectangular portal opens nearby, and agents from the Time Variance Authority emerge. Deadpool and Wolverine ask who they are, and the TVA agents explain, telling the pair they’re dangerous variants who must be stopped.

A lightbulb suddenly switches on in Deadpool’s head as he realizes what’s happening – the live-action Marvel franchises are merging for some easy financial success – prompting him to say, “It couldn’t be, could it? Marvel haven’t gotten this lazy, have they?”

A fight ensues between Deadpool and Wolverine and the TVA agents, with Wolverine doing the heavy lifting as far as the killing is concerned, while Deadpool gets beaten down and does funny things like throwing his wig at one of his opponent’s faces.

Inevitably, the vastly outnumbered duo gets overwhelmed by the team of agents, handcuffed, and taken to the TVA’s headquarters, where they are placed in TVA prisoner uniforms and given two options: they can either be pruned or join forces and embark on a mission set for them by the time enforcement organization.

Of course, they choose to join forces, and the film’s multiversal adventure begins. A TVA agent arrives with two suitcases, and upon opening them, audiences see comic-accurate costumes for Deadpool and Wolverine to wear. Sweet, huh? Well done to the creative Redditor.
