For a long time, players have criticized the Wayfarer trait in Remnant 2 because it is completely useless. Using this trait allows players to swiftly traverse across various terrains as it significantly increases the Environmental Movement Speed. Players believe that this is something that should’ve been in the game by default and Gunfire Games should stop pretending as if this trait is very groundbreaking.

It simply increases the movement on ladders, climbing, and vaulting over things, and this is something that should’ve been in the game since the beginning and it’s safe to say that only a small percentage of the players pick this trait. At the max level, this Wayfarer trait increases Traversal Movement by +50%, but now this trait has been reworked.

“I would say it’s probably fair to assume that we’re not going to short you on content, ever. The balance thing is not necessarily new content, but it’s going to make the game feel fresh. If you start over, you’ll pick up items you already had and go, ‘Wow, this has a new use.’ Things like hearts, necklaces, guns, and traits. We even reworked some traits because, you know, people memed on the Wayfayer trait. So we addressed that. This is a massive patch for progression as well.”

As per the latest patch notes, the Wayfarer trait has now been combined with the Swiftness trait. The Forgotten Kingdom DLC is the second of the three planned DLCs for Remnant 2, the last DLC will be released later this year, so it’s safe to say that Gunfire Games has big plans for the game.

Remnant 2 is available on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
