There have been two games in the franchise; the latest one was released in 2016. The developer is seemingly planning to return to the franchise with a new entry, as it has posted a job listing that points in the direction of a new Titanfall game, and fans are already thrilled to know about it.

Respawn Seems to Be Returning to Titanfall Universe

According to the job listing posted on LinkedIn, the developer is looking to hire a Game Design Director to become a part of an Incubation Team for a new unannounced project. The company is looking for an experienced candidate who will help the team “create a great game,” which is in its early stages.

The hired candidate will be reporting to the Game Director and will have “substantial creative and managerial responsibility for the design team.” Not much has been known about the game that the hired candidate will work on but there is one small detail in the “qualifications” section that gives something about what the game  could be.

It has been said that the ideal candidate should have “significant professional experience designing multiplayer FPS experiences,” and this has fans thinking that the developer is starting the development on Titanfall 3. This comes after a rumor about a new game in the series, and all things point in this direction, but nothing can be said unless the developer itself makes an announcement.

Everything Points Towards a New Game in the Series

There have been rumors of a new game from the developer in the franchise earlier this year, but it was later reported that the game will merely be set in the Titanfall universe. It was said that it could be a single-player spin-off for Apex Legends, but nothing concrete has been known so far.

Despite all this, players think an update on the new Titanfall game is coming soon. Fans have been asking for Titanfall 3 for a long time, but back in 2021, the developer said that there was nothing in the works as it was busy working on other titles and had no time on its hands.

Given that Star Wars: The Mandalorian from the developer was canceled earlier this year, it has the bandwidth to work on a new game. This new title could very well be the highly anticipated FPS title.

There is also a job listing for a Principal Character Artist that requires the candidate to have “experience with creatures and other non-humanoid characters.” If series director Steve Fukuda’s statement is taken into consideration, where he said that the team wants to “find the fun in something new” for the next game in the series, it is not far-fetched that a game may be planned.
