Ricky Berwick has made a name with his unabashedly-in-your-face brand of comedy that has gained a solid fanbase. Now, in a recently posted video on X, he can be seen getting snarky with Solid Snake. And about whom? None other than Mei Lung.

Ricky Berwick can be seen playing Metal Gear a lot and his videos feature characters like Special Snake and Mantis. His latest video however blew up to a whole new level as it featured the man David Hayter himself. In his iconic Solid Snake voice, he can be heard congratulating Ricky regarding the review of Metal Gear Solid.

However, when asked about Mei Ling, Ricky can be heard blowing him off saying he is “kinda busy” while Mei Ling’s voice can be heard in the background saying,

Solid Snake, in his deep baritone then says the titular expression. And he promises that Ricky has only won for now. This means we can look forward to such videos in the future too. Especially with the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake already announced. And David Hayter has also returned to the franchise.

Metal Gear Solid 6 Remains Uncertain

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake
Fans do not feel secure about the future of the franchise.

Developers Hideo Kojima and publishers Konami are no longer working together. So, the prospect of a Hideo Kojima game looks pretty slim. Especially since Konami owns the IP. But this hasn’t stopped fans from expecting Metal Gear Solid 6, with discussions in the community forums frequently turning to it.

And rumors are making rounds regarding the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake being a console exclusive. But again, apart from the game definitely being in the works, nothing much is known about the Konami remake of the 2004 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

There have been no updates from either Konami or Hideo Kojima regarding a sequel to the last game, Metal Gear Solid Survive released in 2018. However, content creators like Ricky Berwick are responsible for keeping the franchise relevant among fans.

What do you think of Ricky Berwick’s video? Do you think it is part of a campaign by Konami to boost pre-sales for the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I travel. I game. I write. In no strict order.

The single biggest lie told all around is, "It isn't that simple." It is simple, everything is. And that is what I emulate in my writing. No unnecessary jargons and no flamboyant flourish. Just what's needed to get your imagination going. After all mind has no limit, unlike the written word.
