The drama film, which premiered on Netflix late in 2023, is a story about a married couple’s struggles after meeting a Hollywood actress. Loosely inspired by the Mary Kay Letourneau scandal, it also stars Julianne Moore and Charles Melton.
Apart from receiving encouraging reactions at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, May December also earned four Golden Globe Awards. However, a recent comment from Rihanna might just be the most prized praise of all for Portman.
What Rihanna Said to Natalie Portman During Paris Fashion Week
Natalie Portman plays actress Elizabeth Berry, who meets the couple for research for a film about their controversial romance that trended in the media twenty years ago. Thanks to her absorbing performance, the Thor: Love and Thunder star was in the running for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture, musical or comedy.
Portman didn’t get the best actor crown, but she has now been crowned as one of the “hottest b-tches” in the industry by pop queen Rihanna.
The 42-year-old ran into the We Found Love singer outside of the Dior Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week.
“I am a f–cking fan,” Rihanna reacted to seeing her (via X). “You’re one of the hottest b-tches in Hollywood forever. You do the most innocent look, and I’m like AHHHH!”
For a moment, the Oscar winner seemed stunned by the Grammy winner’s compliments. She returned the flattery, stating:
“I love you and I listen to your music all the time.”
Rihanna then asked photographers to capture the moment, admitting she doesn’t want to forget the fan-girl moment.
How Natalie Portman Is Handling Her Separation From Benjamin Millepied
Things aren’t as rosy in Portman’s personal life. According to a recent report in US Weekly, the actress is “still hurt” after Benjamin Millepied’s affair. In August of 2023, the pair separated following 11 years of marriage.
The news dropped on the back of suggestions that Millepied was having an affair with climate activist Camille Étienne.
An insider remarked that they started having problems over a year ago as Millepied “would sometimes not return home and was taking work trips that didn’t add up” Accordingly, Portman “began to suspect infidelity.”
The Black Swan star was reportedly “crushed” by his behavior. However, now she’s taking time to focus on herself.
