It seems like Nicholas Hoult is channeling Lex Luthor outside of the filming set. The actor was spotted with a shaved head while attending a car racing event at Laguna Seca. As the newly heralded villain in the DC Universe, Hoult is set to play one of the biggest and most anticipated roles in the franchise.
Fans are also loving his new appearance as they believe it suits him well. The past actors who have portrayed the character tried to emulate the look from the comics, but none looked as good as Hoult.
Nicholas Hoult On His Love For Ferrari Racing
In an Instagram post, Nicholas Hoult shared his passion for racing Ferraris, an interest that the actor has always known since he was a kid. He wrote in the caption:
Cannot describe how fun the Ferrari 296 challenge car was on track at Laguna Seca. All time experience for me, thank you Ferrari USA.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hoult shared how exciting but also terrifying it was to find himself enjoying this hobby.
I’ve loved car racing since I was a kid, so the opportunity to actually do it, I would be absolutely insane to pass up. But it’s also terrifying. I think it’s always good to get yourself outside of your comfort zone.
He compared actual car racing to filming, and he remarked that he is less anxious when it comes to movies because everything has been set up and the entire space is controlled and calculated.
In filming, you get to do very exciting things and have great experiences. But it’s normally in a controlled, fake environment. And it’s normally for the purpose of trying to make you look good for just that brief second.
Hoult feels proud of his newfound passion, but he’s also still testing the waters if the skills he has acquired over the years are enough to let him achieve his goals.
“That only comes from time and practice,” he quipped, before adding that he thinks he’s good at taking instructions. That’s definitely an important skill to learn when driving!

Netizens are totally digging Nicholas Hoult’s latest look in the recent photos he uploaded on Instagram following the Ferrari racing event. Many brought up his upcoming portrayal of Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s Superman film.
