To spread awareness of reducing carbon emissions, Robert Downey Jr. shared how in The Avengers, he should have used strawberries instead of blueberries to share a better message to the viewers.

Robert Downey Jr. Regrets Using Blueberries in The Avengers 

Robert Downey Jr. has had a notorious habit of sneaking in food on the sets of the film he is working in and MCU’s 2012 film, The Avengers. There were several occasions where he was seen munching on snacks and even leaving his co-stars baffled during the scenes. Recently, during an interview with Good Morning America, the Gothika actor shared that he has collaborated with Thomas Kostigen and came up with a cook titled Cool Food to reduce carbon emissions.

The actor mentioned how different food choices “can affect the longetivity of our planet,” and being a fan of Kostigen for ages, it was a great opportunity to work alongside him. He shared how he should have sneaked in strawberries instead of blueberries, as it would have been a better message to the viewers.

“Yeah, right, there’s um, The Avengers film. Tony eats a lot and looking back at his blueberries, I thought, uh, strawberries would have been a better message. Maybe, didn’t fit in with the palette of the production design at the time, I’m not sure.”

Robert Downey Jr. has not only decided to save the environment with his cookbook but also he has decided to save the MCU as he has hinted at his return to the franchise.

Robert Downey Jr. Hints His MCU Return

Ever since Robert Downey Jr. made his exit from the MCU after his splendid performance and defeated the Mad Titan, Thanos. Nevertheless, he laid the foundations for the MCU that we know and love today, as he bewitched the viewers with his 2008 film, Iron Man. He went on to have his trilogy and played a major role in the nine films in which he starred.

The actor hinted at his return when he was on the Literally! With Rob Lowe. During the podcast, Downey Jr. received a phone call in the middle of the podcast, the host asked, “Is that some Marvel s*it? Are you going to break some stories here?”. Downey Jr. replied, “Not just yet.” While Robe Lowe tried to gain some information from the Marvel star, he refrained from spilling the beans.
